M1 LogoRapidly Create Decode Apps

Recently ASA introduced the External Decode Framework.  This framework can be found in the New M1 Apps Store.  Today, M1 provides decodes for technologies like  I2C, CAN/LIN, and FlexRay.  With this new Decode Framework the App Developer (or customer) will have all the resources they need to create new decode methods for use in M1.

By using this new Framework, an ASA developer was able to create decodes for USB 2.0, SATA-II, and an updated FlexRay decode in just a matter of hours.  These decodes will be available at no cost through the M1 Apps Store to licensed M1 users.

If you are thinking about joining our M1 Apps Developer team, or are an end user looking to add some decode functionality, the External Decode Framework can help. You can start by either creating a simple text file that describes the decode specification, or you can make use of a DLL API.  Either method provides a fast and powerful way to extend the capabilities of the already powerful M1.
